This week on the job: an electrician in San Diego County. Wage determination CA20260001 Mod 3 says $58.95 base plus $18.85 fringe. Here is what happens to your payroll export.

Reads the export you already have:

  • QuickBooks Online Payroll
  • QuickBooks Time
  • Gusto
  • ADP RUN
  • ADP Workforce Now
  • Any CSV or Excel
  • PDF payroll registers

How it works

Four steps. Only one of them is yours.

You already ran payroll. We turn that export into the certified payroll your prime or agency asks for, and we check every line before you see it.

  1. 1

    Upload your payroll

Drop in the QuickBooks, Gusto or ADP export you already have. Weekly or every two weeks, both work.

    About a minute
  2. 2

    Confirm your crew

Pick each worker's classification from the wage determination once. We remember it next week.

    The only manual step
  3. 3

    We check every line

Code recomputes hours, overtime, rate against the WD, fringe and net pay. Anything code cannot confirm goes to a person.

    Most back in minutes
  4. 4

    You sign and send

Download the WH-347 package, sign the Statement of Compliance and send it to your prime, or let us email it for you.

    Within 8 working hours

The only screen you fill in

Pick the classification once. Check the daily hours. Done.

If your export has daily time, the grid fills itself. If it only has weekly totals, type the days and the total turns green when it matches your payroll.

  • Classifications come from your WD

A searchable list of the classifications on your project's wage determination, with base and fringe next to each.

  • Apprentices handled properly

Mark a worker RA, enter the program and the period's percentage, and we check the rate against it.

  • No-work weeks in one click

Nobody on site this week? One button makes the no-work report. Those are always free.

What we check

The mistakes that get a payroll sent back, caught before it leaves.

Every number is recomputed by code, in cents, against your wage determination. If a worker is short on base rate or fringe, we tell you who, by how much per hour, and the total to pay back. We never ship an underpaid payroll.

  • Base rate against the WD

Straight-time rate paid is at least the WD base rate for the classification. For apprentices, the program percentage of the journeyworker rate.

    $58.95 ≥ $58.95
  • Fringe met for every hour

Cash in lieu plus bona fide plan credit covers the WD fringe on every hour worked, overtime hours included.

    $18.85 / h
  • Overtime over 40

Hours past 40 in the workweek are paid at least 1.5 times the basic rate. Fringe is not part of that math.

    6.00 h × $88.43
  • Hours add up

Daily hours match the weekly total, and the weekly total matches the hours on your payroll.

    8+8+10+10+10
  • Apprentices are registered

Every RA line has a program name and its registration agency. Ratio to journeyworkers is flagged on the summary.

    RA · OA or SAA
  • Gross, deductions, net

Gross for this project, gross for all work, each deduction and net pay all tie out to the cent.

    ± $0.01
  • Every classification is on the WD

No job titles from your payroll system. Each line maps to a rate row on your project's wage determination.

    ELEC0569-001
  • The right WD modification

We print the WD number and mod on every report and warn you when SAM.gov shows a newer mod than your contract.

Our promise

If we make the mistake, we fix it and pay for it.

The fix-it promise

If a prime or agency returns a report for a math or form error on our side, we fix it within one business day and refund that week, or add a month to your Project Pass.

Your data, kept small

Last 4 digits of each worker ID only, never full SSNs. Raw uploads are deleted after 30 days. Files are encrypted in storage.

Prepared, not certified

We prepare the report for your review. You check it and sign the Statement of Compliance. We never sign for you or insert a signature.

Errors in the data you give us are not covered by the fix-it promise. Every report ends with a summary of exactly what we checked and where each number came from.

Questions

What office managers ask us first.

Do I have to change payroll software?
No. Keep running payroll the way you do now. After payroll runs, upload the export and we build the certified payroll from it. QuickBooks Online, Gusto and ADP exports work, and so does any CSV, Excel file or PDF payroll register.
Who signs the Statement of Compliance?
You do. We prepare the report for your review and leave the signature and date blank. The federal rules make the contractor responsible for what the payroll certifies, so the person who signs should be someone who knows the payroll was paid as shown.
What happens if a worker was paid under the wage determination?
We stop and tell you: which worker, how much per hour, how many hours and the total owed. Underpayment is never shipped and there is no override. Pay the difference, upload the corrected payroll, and we finish the report.
How fast do I get the report?
In your inbox within 8 working hours on weekdays (Monday to Friday, 7am to 7pm Eastern). Most come back in minutes. If we miss 8 working hours on a report that was not waiting on you, that report is free.
Is the WH-347 form required?
Weekly certified payrolls are required on Davis-Bacon covered work. The WH-347 itself is optional: the rules let you use it or any form with the same information (29 CFR 5.5(a)(3)). Most agencies and primes accept it, so that is what we deliver.
Do you handle California eCPR?
Yes. For California public works we build the DIR eCPR XML file with your WH-347 package, ready to upload to the Labor Commissioner. For other states we deliver the WH-347 package; each state guide explains where it goes.
What do you do with Social Security numbers?
We do not store them. Any full SSN found in an upload is cut to the last 4 digits when we read the file, which is what the weekly payroll needs. Raw uploads are deleted after 30 days and files are encrypted in storage.

Your first certified payroll is free.
