LevelWage vs LCPtracker and LCPcertified

LCPtracker runs two different things: a compliance platform that agencies and primes pay for, and LCPcertified, a paid tool for subs. Here is how each compares with LevelWage, with public prices checked October 8, 2026.

Two LCPtracker products

LCPtracker Pro is a compliance platform for agencies and prime contractors: they monitor every contractor on a project and "view, approve, or reject payrolls" [LCPtracker]. If your agency or prime uses it, you enter your payrolls there, and LCPtracker says there is no cost to contractors [LCPtracker]. LCPtracker also sells an optional LCPtracker+ support add-on for contractor users at $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year [LCPtracker].

LCPcertified is LCPtracker's certified payroll tool for subcontractors (or general contractors not managing subs) on projects without a project-wide platform [LCPtracker].

What a 26-week project costs

26 weekly reports on one projectCost
LCPcertified at $12 per report$312
LCPcertified at $145 a month, 6 months$870
LevelWage Project Pass$149

On a short job the gap is small: 8 weekly reports cost $96 at $12 each and $149 on a Project Pass, so single LevelWage reports ($152) or LCPcertified per-report pricing can be cheaper. The Project Pass pays off on jobs longer than about 2 months.

Which fits you

  • Your agency or prime runs LCPtracker on the job: file there; it costs you nothing. LevelWage is useful if you want your payroll checked and a WH-347 built from your export before you key it in, or for your other jobs.
  • You want to type less: LevelWage starts from the payroll export you already run.
  • You need Washington or Maryland XML today: LCPcertified lists those exports; LevelWage does not have them yet.
  • You work in jobs, not months: one price per project, no subscription to forget.

Frequently asked questions

My prime uses LCPtracker. Do I need LevelWage?
Maybe not for filing: when an agency or prime runs LCPtracker on a project, LCPtracker says "there is no cost to Contractors for this service" [LCPtracker], and you enter your payroll there. LevelWage helps when you want the payroll built and checked from your payroll export, need a WH-347 PDF for other projects, or work on jobs without LCPtracker.
What is the difference between LCPtracker and LCPcertified?
LCPtracker Pro is for "public agencies and prime contractors that are responsible for monitoring the compliance of all contractors on their project" [LCPtracker]. LCPcertified is for subcontractors, or general contractors not managing subs, on projects without a project-wide platform [LCPtracker].
Does LCPcertified support state formats?
Its page lists CA DIR XML, WA State L&I XML and MD DLLR XML exports [LCPtracker]. LevelWage builds the California eCPR XML today; Washington and others are planned.
