What QuickBooks does

Intuit's June 2026 update: "your construction business can use QuickBooks Workforce Elite to draft your weekly Form WH-347. This form will automatically include key information, and you'll simply need to complete the form and submit it each week" [Intuit]. Intuit's help article lists what you still complete: project ID, wage determination number, certified payroll number, worker entry numbers, payment in lieu of fringe, apprentice and journeyworker information, and the signed Statement of Compliance; and time has to be entered through the weekly timesheet [Intuit help]. Setup requires a project, a weekly pay schedule and separate pay types for each classification's straight time and overtime [Intuit help].

Using both

The simple setup: keep QuickBooks for payroll. After payroll runs, export Payroll Details and upload it to LevelWage, which handles the WD, the classifications, the fringe math, the checks and the WH-347. No change to how you pay your crew, and no need to move to a weekly pay schedule. Export steps.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to leave QuickBooks to use LevelWage?
No. Keep running payroll in QuickBooks. LevelWage reads the Payroll Details export and builds the certified payroll from it.
Is upgrading to Workforce Elite worth it just for certified payroll?
Do the math for your crew. When we checked on October 8, 2026, Intuit listed Workforce Elite at $134 a month plus $17 per employee and Workforce Premium at $88 plus $13 [Intuit]. For 10 employees the step from Premium to Elite is $46 + $40 = $86 a month, or $1,032 a year, before promotions. A LevelWage Project Pass is $149 per project.
