What is the Davis-Bacon rate for laborers on residential work in Fort Bend County?
On WD TX20260066 Mod 1, published May 18, 2026, the row "LABORERS: COMMON" is $9.04 base plus $0.00 fringe, $9.04 an hour in total. Your contract's WD and modification govern, so check the WD number in your contract before you pay.
Which wage determination applies to my project?
The one in your contract. A WD is generally locked in when the contract is awarded (for sealed bids, a modification published at least 10 days before bid opening applies), and later modifications do not change it except in cases such as added out-of-scope work or option extensions. See 29 CFR 1.6(c).
What counts as residential construction?
Single family houses and apartment buildings of no more than 4 stories. The contracting agency picks the construction type; it is written into your contract with the WD. Source: DOL All Agency Memorandum 130.
What if my worker's trade is not on the list?
Work that needs a classification the WD does not list is added after award through a conformance request, which goes through the contracting agency to the Department of Labor (29 CFR 5.5(a)(1)(iii)). Do not use a different classification because its rate looks close.

Using these rates on a WH-347

Each worker's line on the WH-347 needs the classification as it appears in the WD, a straight-time rate at least the base rate, and the fringe met in cash, through a bona fide plan, or both (see fringe benefits, with the math). Put the WD number and modification in the header.
